Recently, I read an article on a local newspaper about the annual earnings that housewives generate by doing day to day stuff at home. I was not only surprised but also impressed with the amount of hours they put every week to keep their family life smooth going. On an average it is crossing 90 hours per week; needless to say there are no weekends or any other types of holidays. This makes the job far worthier than it looks to be. I must mention here that this analysis should (if not) also include house husbands who take part equally in performing their day to day tasks. While the involvement of females in performing daily home routines is more than their male counter parts, at the same time the quality of outcomes they produce does have a higher standard, sometime I think there is absolutely no replacement for their skill.
Looking at the national median of their earnings (derived from moms.salary.com), one can clearly say that they are the highest earners in comparison any job profession. Taking into account that their earnings are non taxable, this increases the net figure. So, next time if someone asks whether your spouse is working, you can proudly say, YES, she/he is working, she works for me and my family. She/he works from home and for home. Hats off….

Hi. Can anyone tell me how to extract time from timestamp?
For Example
timestamp=’2008-03-28 14:11:04′
i want time ’14:11:04′ from timestamp through query.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Vaideesh,
If you need only time, you can probably try the following;
SELECT time;
To answer your question you should do something like this.
SELECT CAST(VaideeshTime as time(0)) from timestamp;
VaideeshTime
——–
14:11:04
Hope that helps.
