How to Limit the Output in Teradata SQL Assistant.

One thing to note here is that the when you set the output limit, the query still goes thru all data, only the output is reduced to the number specified by you. Here is the way to do it.

1) Click on Tools.

2) Click on Options.

3) Click on the ‘Answer Set’ tab.

4) Off to the right of ‘Maximum number of answer rows to display’, enter the number of rows to limit the output to. Also below this option, you can specify the number of decimal places that you would like to display for Float data type columns’.

5) Click OK.
