I have been using WordPress since sometime and it is been smooth so far. This is my fist posting about WordPress and guess it would be useful one. Here is the synopsis, today I wanted to post an article on page, which is not the default homepage and also not the static page but it is something like a category page but again not on the category directly. In short, I wanted to change the default posing options of WordPress without making my homepage static. Do you think it is possible, if NO, if you are right, but if yes, still than you are right because it is possible with a round about way and without any coding, can you believe it, without any coding…so let’s see how it is done. Just follow the steps, not blindly, but with your open eyes and see how easy it is.

Step 1.  First go to the following URL to install a plug-in called “Inline Posts”

Step 2. Install and activate this plug-in.

Step 3. Create a new Post and make the “Post Status” as Private.

Step 4. Follow the instruction on the above plug-in to attach a post to a separate/new page. You may either create a page or use any existing page which is not the homepage.

Step 5. Publish the page; again publish the PAGE not the post. Now you can easily see the private post appear in the separate (new) page and at the same time it would not appear in your home page, is not it simple, that is why it is WordPress. Let me know how your experience was.

A macro is created to execute a single or a set of SQL statements in a single execution. Each time the macro is run all of the SQL statements present inside the macro are executed and results are returned after the end of all the SQL present inside the macro.

Why do we need a macro? If there is a set of frequently used SQL statement which are being repeatedly executed, this set of SQL statement can be packed inside block and can be defined as a MACRO. A macro can include also execute another macro.

To create a macro to select today’s date:

CREATE MACRO today_date as (SELECT date;);

To execute a macro: EXEC  today_date;To drop a macro:DROP macro today_date;A macro can also be used to insert row into tables with more than one input. Here is an example of a macro with multiple inputs which inserts a row to an emp table. Make sure that the table already exists.CREATE MACRO insert_into_emp
